Ruby L Stayton

Ruby L. Stayton passed away March 27th, 2024, at home surrounded by her beloved animals and family.

She was 94 years old.

Ruby was born September 26, 1929, in Minturn Colorado.

She grew up and attended school in Salida and lived there until she married Connie Stayton on December 5th, 1957.

After moving throughout Colorado for her husband's work, they made their way to Delta County and made their home in Austin for the last 47 years.

Ruby loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing with her husband. and beloved hunting dogs.  She had a green thumb and took pride in her vegetable garden, fruit trees, and flowers. that she was able to plant on their 2-plus acres.  She also had a special love of animals which included numerous dogs, cats, birds, geese, and wild raccoons.

She is survived by her sister Lila Edwards of Peoria Arizona, Sister in-law Barbara Dominguez of Salida Colorado as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby is proceeded in death by her spouse Connie E. Stayton, Parents Antonio J. and Maria P. Dominguez of Salida Colorado, Brother Tony Dominguez of El Paso, Texas and Brother Victor Dominguez of Salida. Colorado.

A celebration of life will be held at Taylor Funeral Service’s Delta Chapel on Friday, April 12th. 10:00 AM.

Directly afterward she will be laid to rest at Cory Cemetery next to her beloved Connie.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Services.
