Sharon Lynne Barnes

Sharon Lynne Barnes, 65, passed away on November 13th at her home in Hotchkiss, CO. Sharon was born on September 30th 1956 in Delta CO to Warren and Marjorie Cockroft.

Sharon grew up in Hotchkiss, CO. She graduated from Hotchkiss High School in Hotchkiss, CO in 1974. She worked for Delta Potato growers as a secretary in Delta CO. Hotchkiss Meats as a Secretary and City Market as a deli clerk in Hotchkiss CO.

Sharon was previously married to Michael McManus, the father of her children. She then met and married Kenneth Barnes and was happily married until his death in September 2010. Sharon enjoyed spending time on family mountain property and fishing. She enjoyed listening to many country western artists and Christian contemporary music.

Sharon is survived by her mother Marjorie Cockroft of Hotchkiss CO, son Sean McManus of Florence, AZ and her daughter Shera McManus of Battlement Mesa, CO. Her oldest sister Sandy Cockroft and her youngest sister Shirley Arndt both of Hotchkiss CO. Her Grandchildren Malachi and Dominic Barnes and Aurora McManus. Her niece Kyla Arndt and her spouse Grayson Rieder of Johnstown, CO and her niece Krista Arndt of Denver, CO.

Sharon Barnes was preceded in death by her father Warren Cockroft.

A funeral service will be held at Taylor Funeral Services 209 Bridge St. Hotchkiss on Friday December 17th at 10:00 AM, refreshments to follow at the First Baptist Church 203 W Main St. Hotchkiss.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
