I am sad to announce the passing of my mama Sharon Teter of Hotchkiss. She was 85 and died on March 19, 2024. Sharon passed away at Delta Memorial Hospital after a short stay. She passed away with me by her side, and her last words were "Jesus take me". Mama was an important member of the Hotchkiss community. Her heart and soul were dedicated to the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church. She was the secretary, lay minister and ran the food bank which her and other church members first began. My mom was always there to help out anyone that needed help. My mom was a great cook, incredible seamstress, a very avid reader and loved to fish. The only thing she wasn't good at was telling a joke. She could never get the punch line right. Sharon leaves behind her son Bo, daughter in law Jeanne, grandsons Morgan and Chase, Ashley, Chase's wife, sister Judy, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 6 p.m. Instead of sending flowers please make a donation to the food bank at the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church. We love you Mama you will be greatly missed.
