Sheila Marie Sullivan of Cedaredge, Colorado, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the age of 66. She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Sullivan, father Cornelius Sullivan and brother Daniel "Chip" Sullivan. She is survived by her children Jeremy Hanke, Ashley Myers and Melissa Petersen; and her grandchildren Madison Hanke, Caden Hanke and Peyton Bowers.
Sheila was born Oct. 7, 1953, in Virginia and grew up in Wheatridge, Colorado. She moved to Cedaredge in the early 2000s to work in the Delta Correctional Center. After that she ran her own business offering counseling services where she impacted countless people and changed their lives for the better.
Sheila was spiritual and found love and light in every human, animal and all the beauty found in nature. She was grateful for all of her family and friends in her life. Sheila had an infectious laugh and an undeniable sense of humor. She was endlessly giving, forgiving, loving and selfless.
"Never ignore a person who loves you, cares for you and misses you. Because one day you might wake up from your sleep and realize that you lost the moon while you were counting the stars."
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
