Susan Kay Lindsey was born on June 3, 1967, to Bill and Nora Lindsey. She joined her big sister, Janet. At the age of 9 months, she lost her big sister to being hit by a car. Three and a half years later she was a big sister to Peggy and then fourteen years later their family was complete with Julie. Susan loved her sisters! She had a wonderful life growing up on the cherry orchard. She learned her work ethic at a very young age!!
Sue attended Olathe schools all 12 years and graduated with the class of 1985!
Sue went to work at Colorado Ute Electric Association after graduation for one year before getting married to her first love, Steve Payton, on July 26, 1986.
Steve and Sue lived in Oklahoma City for the first year of their marriage before moving to the bottom of the Black Canyon as gate keeper for the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users in Montrose, Colorado. The family moved to their new property in Olathe, Colorado, in March 1990. They made their home in a tiny single wide trailer and planted a cherry orchard. There they grew cherry trees and children. To their union, Stephanie Kay, Shane Anthony, and Savanna Sue were added. In 1993, they built their forever home where the children were raised and where Sue lived until her last breath.
Sue built custom cabinets with her father, Bill Lindsey, for 12 years and then on her own for 8 years, after his passing. She loved working with wood and building things! She had other jobs, but the cabinet shop was her true love. She was one of the employees to open Home Depot in Montrose. There, she worked in kitchen and bath. She also worked for S&R Plumbing for 5 years. She always said that Norm Ryser was her favorite boss (right after her dad).
In 2009, Steve passed away, leaving her alone since the kids were grown and gone.
Sue met her second love, Chris Bunch. They married on February 26, 2011. Understanding that life is precious, they always had a lot of great times four wheeling in the mountains with friends, traveling to Hawaii, Ireland, Moab, Tennessee, Alabama, and lots of trips to Oklahoma to see the kids and grandkids!!
Sue was baptized into The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on August 10, 1980. She assembled at the Montrose Church. Her brethren were so very special to her!!

Note from Susan:
I have so much to thank my God for! I had a wonderful childhood! Great parents, sisters, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins!! Then God blessed my life so much with my husbands, children and grand children. All of my in laws and then two more sets of in laws after marrying Chris. I truly had a wonderful life. The things that are the most important is not the money but the people in our lives!!! Live each day to the fullest, because we do not know when our last breath will be.
