Susanne Rossi

Susanne Rossi, age 70, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her home in Austin, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Susanne was born on June 25, 1953, In Boulder, Colorado to Joan Eberle and Lincoln Jones. She grew up in Boulder and graduated from Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

She met the love of her life, James Rossi, and they were married on April 12, 1980. They celebrated 44 years together.

They made their way to Delta Country in July 2015, making Austin, Colorado their home for the past 9 years. She worked for various places in the hospitality industry in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for many years. She enjoyed being outside, working in her yard, planting trees and flowers, and gardening. She enjoyed going fishing with her husband. She loved spending time with her family. She absolutely loved her two cats, Dimples and Trinity. She always made sure to tell her family how much she loved them and how proud she was of them; she was always putting others first.

Susanne is survived by her husband, James Rossi of Austin, Colorado; sons, Anthony Rossi of Arizona, and Jimmy (Lisa) Rossi of Hayden, Colorado; grandchildren, Tanner (Shanti) Hampton of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Tiara Hampton of Yampa, Colorado; brother, Glen (Priscilla) Jones of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; sister, Sally Jones of Montrose, Colorado; step-sisters, Jean Snyder and Nancy McAnally of Grand Junction, Colorado, Theresa (Wayne) Pollard of Silt, Colorado, and Louann (Wayne) Lacovetto of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; stepbrother, Harry Thompson of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother-in-law, Ed (Mary) Rossi of Keenesburg, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susanne is preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln Jones and Joan and Jim Thompson; her sister, Cindy Jones, and brother-in-law, John Rossi.
