Violet Marie Byers

 Violet Marie Byers passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years of age.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, February 14, 2025 at The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Delta. Burial will follow in Pea Green Cemetery. 

 Violet Marie was born on May 30,1943 in Avery, Oklahoma to Floyd B. & Linda Mae Howard. She was raised in Parkland.

 Violet married Charles “Chuck” Wesley Byers on May 10, 1959. On April 6, 1960, they welcomed their first son, Lester Clayton then proceeded to have four more children to the union. They were married for Sixty wonderful years before Chuck’s passing. 

 Violet was baptized into The General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn on March 3, 1957. Violet enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with Chuck and the children. She also enjoyed making quilts and other crafts. Most of all, Violet loved being a housewife and a mother. She loved it when the grandchildren came into her life. Violet loved all the little ones and especially the brethren’s children.

 Violet is survived by her children: Susan Brunk, Mark Byers, Connie (Ray) Knob and Greg (Stephany) Byers; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren. 

 Violet was preceded in death by her son, Lester Clayton; a granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Brunk; her husband, Chuck Byers; her parents, Floyd and Linda Howard; three sisters; five brothers; and her son-in-law, Greg Brunk.
