Virginia Ann "Ginny" Hampson, also known as Ginny Sanborn, has left us on September 28, 2023, at the age of 80 in Hotchkiss, Colorado. Born on August 12, 1943, in Mason City, Iowa, Ginny was a force of nature, radiating strength, wit, and love. She was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, sister-in-law, mother and grandmother
Ginny's life was a whirlwind of adventure and laughter. As a doting mother to Alicia Hampson of Grand Junction, Colorado, she showed us all how to balance work and play. With her tech-savvy skills, Ginny conquered in Information Technology in the male dominated field of oil and gas.
But Ginny's true joy came from being a grandma to Dylan and Ryan Parham; enjoying camping, fishing, and off-roading in her beloved Colorado. Later in life, as fate would have it, Ginny reunited with another daughter thus becoming a grandma to two more boys and even a great-grandmother to three littles ones.
Please join her daughter, Alicia and Ginny's brother and sister-in-law; John and Carla Sanborn as well as other family in celebrating Ginny's life at the Elks Lodge, 563 Main St, Delta, CO 81406, on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at 2:00 pm. We'll be sharing stories, laughter, and maybe even a few tears (of joy, of course) as we remember our dear Ginny.
In honor of her love for all creatures great and small, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Wild Animal Sanctuary at WildAnimalSanctuary.org. Let's keep Ginny's spirit alive by supporting this cause that was near and dear to her heart.
As we say see you soon, let's remember her with a smile and a love. She taught us to live life to the fullest, to embrace our faults yet keep our humor in every situation. May her spirit continue to dance among us, reminding us to cherish every moment.
