Wanda Lee (Lewis) Bellew was born to Dale and Sylvia Lewis April 9, 1944 in Cortez Colorado. Wanda was 76 years old when she passed away on July 14, 2020 in Austin, Colorado.
Wanda was baptized into the Church of the Firstborn March 30, 1961. She was a faithful member and true believer all the days of her life.
Wanda married Ray Bellew November 3, 1961 and they enjoyed 58 happy years together
Wanda is survived by husband Ray Bellew, and 8 children Raya (Daniel) Long of Austin, CO, Doug Bellew of Redmond, OR, Kareth Bellew, Ryan (Sheila) Bellew of Beaver, OK, Curtis (Sarah) Bellew of Peyton, CO, Russel (Brandi) Bellew of Delta, CO, Scot (Naomi) Bellew of Tualatin, OR, and Paul Bellew of Taipei, Taiwan; 13 grandchildren: Alex Bellew, Cullen Long, Katie (Victor) Sundquist, Zach (Amanda) Bellew, Makayla (Cade) Lugard, Nathan Bellew, Nicholas Bellew, Breanna Sprout, Maggie Bellew, Dustin Long, Molly Bellew, Braeden Sprout and Mariah Bellew; 6 great-grandchildren: Clara, Caleah, Sterling, Jay, Easton, and Lane; sisters: Lenora Herrmann of GJ, CO, Minnie McCracken of Olathe, CO, Linda Hays of Elma, WA and Pam Bates of Tulsa, OK; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by parents; Dale and Sylvia Lewis; parents in-law Paul and Ellenray Bellew, grandsons: Alan Bellew, Austin Sprout, Lukas Long, Samuel Bellew and Benjamin Bellew, granddaughters: Elizabeth Bellew and Emma Bellew and daughter- in-law Dawn Bellew; sisters: Joyce Easter and Betha Newport.
Wanda was a true homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an exceptional seamstress and sewed the majority of her family's clothes. She made countless quilts including one for each of the family weddings and graduations. She loved crocheting, embroidery and even tatting. She was known for the delicious bread she baked and her pies, especially apple pie. She did lots of canning and cooking for her family and friends. She was very hospitable and enjoyed having people in her home. She always had time and would drop anything to help and care for her children and grandchildren. Wanda always loved attending Church and church events. She loved babies and was present for countless births. She always enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren perform and spent hours watching and encouraging them. She was their biggest fan and often kept score for the baseball games.
She was a wonderful example in the faith and as a mother and wife, teaching mostly by example. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Delta interment followed in Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.
