William (Bill) Godfred Sinner died unexpectedly on September 7, 2024. He was 84 years old. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:30am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delta, Colorado.
Bill was born on June 27, 1940, in Montrose, Colorado to Mary (Morland) Sinner and Godfred Sinner. At age 4, the family moved to Delta, Colorado and he graduated from Delta High School with the Class of 1958. After graduation, Bill proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He was a lifelong resident of Delta, Colorado.
Bill was a farmer and worked as a game damage specialist for the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Bill enjoyed working outside on the farm, growing a small garden, and his snapdragons. He also loved hunting, fishing, and watching his kids and grandkids play sports throughout his life. Bill was proud of his farm and took meticulous care of everything: a place for everything and everything in its place (weeds be damned). You always knew his thoughts and dispositions as he shared them openly, honestly, and directly. And when it was time to close a conversation, it was: “Well . . . that’s all I know!”
Bill is survived by his children: daughter, Wendy Demers and her husband William of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Christy Sinner of Durango, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Camden Garland of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Dawson Garland of Valencia, Spain.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Godfred and Mary Sinner, and his brothers, Thomas C. Sinner and Darryl D. Sinner.
