William "Bill" E Stell

William E. Stell, “Bill” passed away 12/08/2024 at his home in Cedaredge, CO. He was 75 years old.

 Bill was born on July 11, 1949 in Akron, Ohio to Julia T. Mikis and Robert C. Stell. He grew up in Akron and graduated from Firestone High School in 1967. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1972.

 While attending SIU, he met JoAnn Donaghy and they were married on August 12, 1977 in Glen Ellyn, IL. They celebrated 47 years together.

 Bill and JoAnn made their way from Boulder, CO to Delta County in 2004 building their dream home in Cedaredge. Bill’s chosen career was in antique restoration. He was the owner of WES-TELL Antiques. He enjoyed buying and selling the antiques he collected on his travels throughout the Midwest, playing poker, planting and tending to the trees on his property and fishing. He was a lifelong member of the Elks and Eagles Clubs.

 He was one of a kind.

 Bill is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn of Cedaredge; his daughter Juliann; his sister and four brothers.

 He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Julia and his in-laws John J. and Eleanor Donaghy.

 A celebration of life will be held in Cedaredge this summer.
